Annual Meeting Update!
On Monday, July 12, 2010, the Michigan Council of Hostelling International met at Heavner’s Canoe Rental in Milford to host the Annual Meeting. It was a beautiful afternoon and evening. Members were offered free use of kayaks and canoes and enjoyed the afternoon before the meeting. Twenty of us later that evening voted in a new board of directors for the 2010-2012 term. Heavner’s provided pizza and we discussed the past, present and future of our local council. Current board members, past board members and new HI members now make up the nine person board of directors. Our first board meeting with the new board will take place in August and the new executive officers will be announced soon after.

Please consider joining us on one of our weekly or special hikes (listed under the calendar portion of this site). The fee is only $1.00 for members and $2.00 for non-members. We welcome new hikers all the time. Please review the details of each hike, where to meet, the hike leader, and their phone number. Hope to see you soon on one of our many summer hikes!
